Hanalei Bay

I am anchored now in beautiful Hanalei Bay on the north side of Kaua'i. I had forgotten what a gorgeous place this is. The mountains are spectacular with waterfalls snaking down the front sides from the frequent passing showers. The bay here is clear and blue with dolphins often jumping or just splashing. I usually go into the beach every morning for a brisk walk all the way to end of the semicircular beach. A convenient town is nearby for supplies. Sometimes I paddle my kayak up the Hanalei river
which wanders through the taro farms famous in Hanalei valley. Sunsets are always fun with the famous view of "Bali Hai" mountain peaks. I am waiting for the winds to lighten up some when I will sail down the Napali coast and hopefully find suitable anchorage along the famous cliffs. Meanwhile I am just enjoying each day as it comes.
